Exchangeable punch block on Nedform machines

One of the main topics at our customers, is the need of reducing machine downtime as much as possible. Therefore our Nedform machine range have the option of removing the punch block out of the machine. The advantage of having (multiple) exchangeable punch blocks, is that it allows to have one dedicated set-up for every product that is made on the machine. 

When there is a product change-over, the punch block is removed from the machine and put onto a designated area of the operator platform. Afterwards, the second punch block (on which the punch holders and punches for the other product are installed) is mounted into the machine. Because the punch holders are already set-up outside of the machine, the set-up time is reduced significantly because only minor finetuning adjustments need to be done inside the machine. The distance of the punches can be set by adjusting the wedge height, using the counter units mounted on top. Once the right setting is determined for a certain product, change-over is very easy and straightforward.
